So I have now been in school for a month and I am just starting to write on my blog.
While being here I have met so many cool people from all over the world~ Did you know that BYU- Hawai'i represents 74 different countries~ crazy huh.... This is Aaron and he is from Africa :)
While being here I have realized that these people are awesome and so are the hikes that we get to go on... here is one at Diamond Head National Park... It is where you go into a crater and climb up to the top :) Lots of stairs though :-/
Here at BYU- Hawai'i we pray before every class and invite the spirit to teach us what we need to know how amazing is that! Samantha Renee Hunt told us continuesly reminded us that it is not about the destination but about the journey. This reminds me of the Hannah Montana song The Climb (if you havent heard it you should at least look up the words and see all the truth in the lyrics) anyways so this is what we found on the climb
And the friends that we make here are amazing and we will continue to try and keep it after we are all old and have families of our own.
Right next door to the campus is the PCC as we call it but you may know it as the Polynesian Culture Center, and I call it work! Ever since my first trip to The PCC I have wanted to work there! well I got the opportunity to do just that this Fall semester. I love it, it is so much fun to grow closer relationships with people from all over the world. The people who visit the PCC are such a blessing and they are all so kind!
Living in Hawaii has given me the opportunity to try new foods that i would have never thought to try anywhere else! I have been able to meet people that have such amazing testimonies of the Church of Jesus Christ and have been able to build my own! I have been able to more fully experience the beauty of God's creations and no i do not mean the men here, although they are really awesome! lol There is one guy that knows my name but that is not what he calls me by, his name for me is beautiful eyes! what an amazing guy! but anyways I love this school and everything that is stands for!
Its beauty like this that makes me remember how truly Great our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are!!!
